Falling Leaves

Raking leaves has become an art form.
The winds came and the leaves all blew away.

The colors sitting at my door.
Brrrrr!  Winter has come in with a vengence.
Do you like to walk in the wind?
For me there has always been something so exhilerating
about the wind blowing my hair and circling all about.
I just want to dance with the leaves.

PS - Don't forget, there is a give-away announced on Tuesday's post.

I LOVE this, and the art form of raking your leaves. Also the letting go of them when the wind came.

The problem with our garden is that leaves from the cherry tree fall on rocks and we can't find the right sort of garden instrument to pick them up. Sigh. I much prefer leaves that fall on grass. As a child, raking leaves was one of the chores my brothers, sister and I had to perform.

An artist raked those leaves! Yes, it's chilly out there, but the sun is shining mightily here so I'm not complaining one little bit!

That pile of coloured grasses/leaves is beautiful. I love the artfully raked leaves! I am jealous of your winter, yesterday was so humid my body was covered in sweat and I thought I was going to collapse!

I need to have Bob do that with our leaves - love the creative approach to what is such a hard job, especially facing off in the wind.
I cannot rake this year due to the hip - but I do help him drag the filled tarp down to the street for later pick up. He seems to love doing it all, just as he continues to enjoy mowing. I married such a prince - had to as there was no king available!!!

Stay warm, be well.

I do like to walk with the wind. It is fun and does make you feel alive.
I like the cooler weather for walking and I simply love the fall.
Happy Thanksgiving. Catherine

I think I'm lucky to be in a spot that has trees -- but not many leaves on my ground! It saves a lot of time at a time when I don't have it! But they are so beautiful!

Walking in the wind is my least favorite thing. Raking leaves, also not a favorite! Although, I do like the look of a clean sidewalk after it is done, but knowing that more leaves will fall simply frustrates me!

Rakibg the leaves I guess is something I would surely love to do. I like spending time with trees, plants and flowers. I don't get the chance to rake leaves in my own garden as we live in a flat.

Autumn colours are beautiful and inspiring.

Oh, I love that... love the creative way with raking leaves! Sure makes it more fun! ;o) These are fun images... Lovely catch up with you, as I've been offline a bit. In a few days we travel to the US to enjoy Thanksgiving with my family--so happy! And as the holidays approach I'm making a departure from blogland. No worries though, I'll still be around... ;o) ((LOVE & HUGS))

When I was a little girl my sister & I would rake leaves into shapes - making a play house with rooms & doors. We played in tidied them up & played in them all through the fall. I remember trying to teach this game to my son when he was small but little boys much prefer piles of leaves to jump & hide in with their favorite dog. ;)

Such fun memories!
