A Final Day and a Farewell toTaiwan

The final day in Taiwan was spent in Taipei exploring.
Yes, there was more tea as we celebrated our last day by visiting with the
Taipei Tea Association and visiting two teashops.
As we walked throughout Taipei we often had glimpses of the 101 Building,
which at one time was the tallest building in the world.
We walked past temples and always there were motorbikes passing by.
It was a very special dream come true holiday,
one I hope many of you have the opportunity to someday do.
May all your travel dreams come true.

Please leave a comment telling me what dream for travel you have
and I will draw one name on Monday morning.  If you don't want to
leave a comment, but would like to be in the drawing, just email me.
You will find my email on the Profile page.
There will be some small samples of tea from Taiwan and something special I found at the 7/11 store.
You might laugh at finding something tea related at the 7/11 store, but you just never
know what you will find when you visit in a different country.

Your pictures helped me to relive the joys of my trip to Taiwan!! Thank you.
My dream for travel, the most current one, is to go to China on a trip combining tea and historical sights.......with a tea stopover in Taiwan along with it. I hope it will happen.

I simply love to travel ~ explore new territory ~ see the sights and sounds and smells of something unfamiliar ~ but I love to return home too! Someday I hope to experience a safari.

Well here goes again - have tried three times to comment earlier and kept losing it!

I have lots of travels planned for the next 18 months, wonderful places I never expected to see. However I would also love to visit Finland and see my new blog friend Delila again - we managed to meet in the Lake District last month when she was visiting another blogger. As she lives just across the border from St. Petersburg, Russia, I would also be able to go there, another place on my bucket list!

Again, thanks for sharing such great words and pics from your recent trip Marilyn. A little surprise would be fun so please add my name to the drawing, many thanks.

Have a fun weekend.
Hugs - Mary - who is always ready for a good cup of tea!!

MM, you have already given me so many lovely presents, so I don't need any more, BUT I wanted to list my travel-wish because it is just too fun an opp. to pass up :-) I would like to visit Britain again, and this time go west to Devon and Cornwall, where I have never been; also to Staffordshire to see where all of my teacups (and my stove!) came from.

Your travelogue has been such a treat, thank you for going all the way to Taiwan and showing me the country I visited in 1985 (looks a lot different now). yay!

xo, Trixie

I love the elegance and the grace of Asia --- more beautiful scenes from your trip. Just lovely! I am sad you are done presenting your travels, but look forward to whatever you post next!

My dream vacation --- it's hard to pick just one place --- but today I would select Pitcairn Island as my most exotic and interesting place to visit. England, Ireland, and Scotland would be on my list for a more populated place to visit. And of course the fields of Provence would be pure delight!

Scotland, Marilyn. I dream of Scotland.

Your tea trip has been pure joy to follow on your blog, Marilyn. Thank you for wonderful armchair travel and for sharing things you learned about the tea we love, too.

Visiting a friend in Spain is next in my plans and she has a side trip to a cooking class on a saffron farm in Provence planned for us as well.

What a wonderful trip. Your photos are great, Marilyn. I'm not sure that if I sat on the floor to take tea, that I'd be able to get up. :-)

I've always wanted to visit Provence or Tuscany.

Marilyn, when you first posted you were making this trip I questioned your destination. Now after seeing your blog post, photos and learning more about this gentle, peaceful place I yearn to travel. How very interesting to go into the fields and learn this passed down knowledge of growing and harvesting the leaf. To sit in the welcome kitchens of the farmers and you and your husband treated like family. Thank you for sharing your adventure.

I think my dream trip would be to France but I also long to return to Japan -- especially after reading about your 7-11 find! How well I remember the amazing things you could find there.

I don't need to be entered in the drawing (though I know what it is, ha!), but I did want to say *thank you* for sharing these great posts and thinking of your readers while you were traveling!

My travel dream, by the way, is to take a long, leisurely trip to Italy with my husband!

Oh, Marilyn -- what a lovely image collage -- it really says it all, doesn't it? Well, I missed your drawing but I'll share my dream -- a return to Paris, this time with Rick!
